The Search Is On: Could You Be South Ribble’s Next Lead Volunteer?
After a decade of dedicated service, June Holt will be stepping down as District Lead Volunteer for South Ribble this July. June has made a huge impact during her time in the role — leading the District through the challenges of the pandemic, championing the launch of Squirrels, and supporting our adult volunteers through the volunteer experience transformation.
We’re incredibly grateful for everything June has done to support Scouting in South Ribble. Her leadership has helped create the strong, supportive, and ambitious District we are proud of today.
Looking to the future
As we say thank you to June, we’re now turning our attention to the future. We’re starting the search for a new District Lead Volunteer — someone who can build on what’s already going well, bring fresh ideas, and help us grow even stronger.
To help guide this process, Martin Sumner, Chair of the District Trustee Board, will be leading a small search group to support the appointment.
We’re inviting nominations and applications from across South Ribble and beyond. Whether you know someone with the skills and passion for the role, or you’re interested yourself — we’d love to hear from you.
