Current Opportunities

We’re Scouts and everyone is welcome here. Scouts is the UK’s biggest mixed youth organisation. South Ribble  is one of the largest Scout Districts in the West Lancashire with a total membership of over 1,700+ and growing.

Ready for your next challenge?

We are always looking for talented individuals to join our growing #TeamSouthRibble. Even if the roles below don’t take your fancy, please reach out – we would love to hear from you.

We welcome applications and nominations from everyone, including people who are underrepresented in our leadership roles including people from Black, Asian and/or minority ethnic backgrounds and women, as well as people with lived experience of supporting less affluent young people and communities.

Sign up to help young people discover their ‘thing’: from abseiling to coding to performance art and everything in between. Find your local group in the Group Finder below, fill out the form and someone will be in touch soon.

We are actively looking for people to take on roles in the following areas:

Volunteer Team Leaders:

Volunteer Team Members:

  • We’re looking for individuals with skills in digital to join our District Media & Communications Team, who are responsible for how South Ribble Scouts look from the outside, and equally how our teams communicate internally.
  • Help us unlock new opportunities for young people – join us as our Grants and Fundraising Team Leader and make more adventures possible in South Ribble.
  • Bring ideas, energy and fun – join our Programme Team and help create adventures and Skills for Life for young people in South Ribble.

Not spotted a role that feels like your thing? That’s no problem – we can shape your volunteering adventure together, whether you want to share skills you already have or discover brand new ones while supporting young people.
