Volunteer Vacancy: District Explorer Scout Administrator (DESA)

The DESA is a key link between Scouts aged 13 and over with Explorers providing vital information, support, moving on information, and communication. They will build upon our successes to date to positively contribute to our continued growth in South Ribble District.

The District Explorer Scout Administrator has an important role to play in Explorer Scouting in the District. He or she is the hub of communication, maintaining a free flow of information across the District to ensure that every Explorer Scout has access to the full District Explorer Scout programme. It is rewarding as you’ll see your efforts transformed into better and better Explorer Scouting for more and more young people. You must be aged 18+ to be considered for this role.

The DESA may hold another appointment that involves a leadership role, but many will not. You will need to be an organised and efficient person, with the ability to maintain a good working relationship with a number of people.
