West Lancs Scouts are excited to announce the launch of a brand-new Explorer Leader event for 2026 — Horizon26!

This inaugural event will take place on Saturday 28th February 2026 at The ASK, BAE Systems, Samlesbury.

Horizon26 is a new county event designed especially for Explorer Scout Leaders from across West Lancashire. The aim of the day is to bring leaders together to share ideas, collaborate on programme development, and help shape the future of Explorer Scouting across the county.

The event will include a mix of workshops, discussions, and showcases focused on topics such as Explorer programme planning, DofE and Top Awards, supporting Young Leaders, inclusion, and digital tools for Scouting. There’ll also be plenty of time to network, exchange experiences, and connect with others.

Whether you’re new to Explorers or have been involved for years, Horizon26 is your opportunity to learn from others, contribute ideas, and be part of building what comes next for Explorer Scouting in West Lancs.
