The search is on for a new Programme Support Sub-Team Leader to join the Team
The exciting transformation of Scouts has led to the creation of a dynamic Programme Support Team—a group of dedicated volunteers working together to ensure that every group in the district delivers an ambitious and engaging programme for young people. The team supports volunteers, helps shape the programme, and influences key decisions that help us improve Scouting.
As a Programme Support Sub-Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting adults who work directly with young people in Squirrels (4-5), Beavers (6-8), Cubs (8-10.5), and Scouts (10.5-14). Your role is to ensure they feel motivated, inspired, and confident in delivering high-quality Scouting. A good leader recognises and appreciates volunteers’ efforts, ensuring they feel valued and supported week after week.
In this role, you will manage the sub-team’s functions, oversee projects, and strengthen the connections between groups in the district and the wider Programme Team. You’ll work collaboratively to provide guidance, share best practices, and ensure that every young person benefits from a first-class Scouting experience.
