South Ribble Scouts is on the lookout for a passionate, supportive and forward‑thinking 14–24 Team Lead to help shape the future of our Explorer Scouts and Scout Network.

Our 14–24 programme is where young people really come into their own. It’s where leadership is tested, confidence grows, and skills for life are lived, not just learned. From expeditions and international experiences to permits, volunteering and youth‑shaped decision making, this is Scouting at its most transformational.
As 14–24 Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in:
- Supporting and inspiring adult volunteers across Explorers and Network
- Helping young people shape their own programme of activities and adventures
- Enabling opportunities for permits, top awards and leadership pathways
- Making sure our programme is inclusive, youth‑shaped and ambitious
- Being part of a district team that’s focused on growth, impact and quality
You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll be supported by a committed district leadership team and surrounded by volunteers who care deeply about helping young people do more, achieve more, and be more.
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to have held a similar role before, or even have previous Scouting experience. What matters most is that you:
- Enjoy working with and supporting other adults
- Believe in young people and their potential
- Can help set direction, encourage collaboration and enable change
- Want to make a real difference in your local community
