Reflect. Refocus. Renew: Join Us as We Shape the Future of South Ribble Scouts

Date: 30th May 2026 Author: South Ribble Comms

South Ribble Scouts is inviting volunteers, parents, supporters, community partners and friends of Scouting to come together at this year’s Annual General Meeting 25|26 as we reflect on our journey so far and look ahead to the future of Scouting across South Ribble.

This year’s theme, Reflect. Refocus. Renew., captures an important moment for the District and an opportunity to come together, celebrate achievements, recognise our volunteers and shape what comes next.

South Ribble Scouts supports more than 1,700 young people aged 4–25 across 21 Scout Groups, helping young people develop confidence, build friendships and gain Skills for Life through fun, challenge and everyday adventure.

At the heart of Scouting is creating places where young people and volunteers feel welcome, supported and able to thrive. Scouts UK’s strategy, A Place to Belong, recognises the importance of building environments where everyone feels included and has the opportunity to grow.

This year’s AGM will be more than a chance to reflect on the impact our volunteers and young people make every week. It will also mark the launch of South Ribble Scouts’ District strategy, helping set our ambitions and priorities for the future.

The evening will provide an opportunity to:

  • Celebrate the achievements and impact of our young people and volunteers
  • Reflect on our journey and progress as a District
  • Launch South Ribble Scouts’ District strategy and future ambitions
  • Look ahead to the next chapter of Scouting across South Ribble
  • Connect with volunteers, supporters and our wider community

Jon Nutten, Interim Lead Volunteer for South Ribble Scouts, said: “Reflect. Refocus. Renew. feels like the right theme because it gives us the opportunity to recognise where we are as a District, bring people together and shape what comes next. We want to continue building a place where young people and volunteers feel they belong, gain Skills for Life and play an active role in their communities.”

Whether you’re a volunteer, parent, supporter or community partner, we’d love for you to join us and be part of shaping the future of South Ribble Scouts.
