Exciting News: Meet Our New District Lead Volunteer! Stuart Robinson

Date: 7th Jul 2025 Author: Jon Nutten

We’ve got some brilliant news to share from South Ribble Scouts!

After an open search process, we’re delighted to announce that Stuart Robinson will be stepping into the role of District Lead Volunteer, helping guide and support Scouting across South Ribble.

Many of you will already know Stuart from his work with our 14–24 team and his years of experience supporting young people and volunteers. Stuart’s no stranger to adventure — and he’s passionate about making sure every volunteer feels supported and every young person gets the very best start in life through Scouts.

The interview panel were especially impressed by his energy, fresh ideas, and commitment to building on the brilliant work already happening across the District. Stuart’s excited to meet even more volunteers, young people and families as he gets stuck into the new role — and we know you’ll give him the warmest of South Ribble welcomes!

Stuart will officially take over from June Holt at our District AGM on 16th July, working closely with June over the coming weeks to make sure everything runs smoothly.

We want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to June. For the past ten years, she’s led South Ribble Scouts with care, kindness, and unwavering dedication. Thanks to her, our District is stronger, our volunteers are better supported, and most importantly, thousands of young people have had amazing opportunities to grow, learn, and shine. We’re so grateful — and we know June will continue to make a difference in other ways.

The AGM is the perfect chance to celebrate everything we’ve achieved together, thank June, and look ahead to the future with Stuart. We hope to see many of you there!

Together, with the energy and commitment of our volunteers, South Ribble Scouts is in great shape for the next chapter — and the adventure continues.
