New Minibus Opens Up More Adventures for Brindle St Joseph’s Scouts

Brindle St Joseph’s Scouts is celebrating the arrival of a new minibus, thanks to the generous support of grant funding from The Robert Hall Foundation and The National Lottery Community Fund.

The new vehicle will help make Scouting more accessible for young people, providing safe and reliable transport to camps, activities, community projects and adventures across the region. It will also support volunteers in delivering an even wider range of opportunities and strengthen collaboration across the wider Scouting community.

The minibus represents a significant investment in the future of Brindle St Joseph’s Scouts and will help ensure that more young people can take part in the life-changing experiences that Scouting offers.

The purchase comes at a particularly special time for the Group, which is celebrating 50 years of providing young people with Skills for Life. For half a century, Brindle St Joseph’s Scouts has supported generations of young people to build confidence, develop new skills, experience adventure and make lasting friendships.

James Park, Group Lead Volunteer at Brindle St Joseph’s Scouts, said: “We are very grateful to The Robert Hall Foundation and The National Lottery Community Fund, whose grants have made the purchase possible. We fully intend to get maximum use of the vehicle to further the opportunities for the young people at BSJ and within the wider Scouting family.”

Scouting is all about helping young people gain skills for life, build confidence and discover their potential. By improving access to activities and removing barriers to participation, the new minibus will help even more young people enjoy the benefits of Scouting and experience a place where they feel welcome, supported and able to belong.

The investment also highlights the power of partnership and community support in helping local Scout Groups thrive. Thanks to the generosity of both funders, Brindle St Joseph’s Scouts is now better equipped to support young people, volunteers and families for many years to come.

As the Group celebrates its 50th anniversary, the new minibus will play an important role in creating new adventures, strengthening friendships and helping even more young people experience the opportunities that Scouting provides.

Congratulations to everyone involved in securing the funding and making this project a reality. We look forward to seeing the new minibus on the road, supporting adventures and creating opportunities for young people across Brindle St Joseph’s Scouts and the wider Scouting family.
