Behind Every Great Scout Programme Is a Great Support Team — Could You Lead Ours?
Are you passionate about supporting volunteers and helping young people have the BEST possible Scouting experience? We’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic Programme Support Sub-Team Leader to join our South Ribble District team!
At South Ribble Scouts, we’re all about inspiring young people to do more, learn more and be more through fun, exciting, and meaningful activities. To make that happen, we need amazing volunteers behind the scenes who can motivate, support, and encourage others.
As Programme Support Sub-Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in making sure adults who work with Squirrels (4–5), Beavers (6–8), Cubs (8–10.5), and Scouts (10.5–14) feel confident, motivated, and ready to deliver high-quality Scouting programmes every week. You’ll help lead the sub-team, work on projects, and strengthen links between various Scout groups and the wider Programme Team.
In this role, you will manage the sub-team’s functions, oversee projects, and strengthen the connections between groups in the district and the wider Programme Team. You’ll work collaboratively to provide guidance, share best practices, and ensure that every young person benefits from a first-class Scouting experience.
