Scout Active Support Unit

1 hour a year is all that is needed to be a member of our Scout Active Support Unit (SASU). Scouting benefits from people helping/supporting other groups and sections and it’s great FUN too.

The members and friends aim to meet once a month on various locations around the district to have a fun event for themselves. Often groups request help running events, camps or just for people with specific skills.

There are 3 requirements: to be aged over 18, be willing to undergo a DBS clearance within Scouting, and to WANT TO HAVE FUN.

There are regular communications and we have a Facebook group which is regularly up-dated.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
