Let’s recognised the achievements of our flexible volunteers!

Date: 16th Jan 2021 Author: Jon Nutten

We want to thank all our volunteers for their contribution to the Scouts – it’s an important way to make sure people stay with us and to recognise their achievements and Good Service awards are one way of doing this.

There has been a huge amount of good work going on in the district over the last 10 months or so. As in more normal times, some of this is visible and some are not. Our District Awards Advisory Committee relies on you to tell us about Leaders who are working quietly, but above and beyond.

If you feel that you know someone who deserves a Good Service Award, please look at the link below and consider nominating them.

Please submit your nominations by 31/01/21
*For Group/District roles, please send your nominations to June Holt and for any County Appointments to the County Commissioner – Craig Dewar-Willox

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
