Following the latest Government Covid-19 announcement, we moved to a Red readiness level.

Date: 30th Dec 2020 Author: Jon Nutten

Following the announcement from UK government and the advise from The National Youth Agency guidance as of the 31 December, we move back to a Red readiness level meaning only online meetings can be delivered until further notice.

June Holt – DC had this to say “We have had a lot of success throughout the district in running virtual programmes in sections, groups, units and across all age ranges. By now there is a lot of experience in this area and it would be great to know that every section in every group and unit has the opportunity to meet online. If anyone is struggling with technology, programming, or anything else that is preventing them from meeting online with their section, please do get in touch whether you think we can help or not.

I hope you all have an enjoyable New Year and let’s hope 2021 sees the world moving towards a more social outlook and please Stay Safe”

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
