#ThankYouDay

Date: 5th June 2022 Location: Online Sections: Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Scout Network, Adult Volunteer, Young Leader, Squirrels

Time to say thanks

Thank You Day is all about recognising the contributions of the everyday heroes who make our communities great places to live. And that includes our incredible Scouts volunteers.

The aim is to get as many people as possible to say thank you to whoever deserves it, whether that’s to the Queen, each other or the organisations that make such important differences.

This year, the date ties in with the final day of the Queen’s 70th Jubilee celebrations. It’s a great opportunity for a UK wide moment of togetherness. It’s the perfect antidote to the loneliness and isolation many of us felt during the lockdowns of the last two years.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
