This Year our St Georges day celebrations will take place on Sunday 21st April 2024

The celebrations and reaffirmation of the Scout Promise will take place in Leyland at St Mary’s church on Broadfield Drive, Leyland. There will be a short celebration in the church followed by a parade through Leyland, to Worden Park for some activities.

We will be meeting at 12.45 pm on the field opposite St Mary’s church for the day’s events to unfold. It is expected all activities on the park to be finished by 4.30 pm.

A more detailed program and Parade order will be sent out nearer the time.

The parade and celebration event in Warden Park is a a fantastic opportunity to promote Scouts in the local community and spend time together!

To avoid any duplication of stalls please could provide us with a couple of stall ideas that your group is willing to run on the park for St. Georges day by the 1st April 2024.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
